About us - who we are
ADEB is the Association of Distributive and
Environmental Bodies. It is the representative body for
practitioners within the Landfill Communities Fund.
ADEB's role:
- Promote best practice and provide a source of information for
members
- Help, guide and support members with matters relating to the
day-to-day running of the fund
- Act as a collective voice on behalf of members
- Promote the Fund's availability and ongoing success
- Organise and deliver education and training programmes for
members
Join ADEB
Environmental Bodies that award and receive grants through the
Landfill Communities Fund are welcome to join the organisation.
Members of ADEB benefit from:
- Opportunity to share best practice and good ideas with
peers
- Access to training relating to the Landfill Communities
Fund
- A unified voice to the Regulator (ENTRUST) and Government
- Networking opportunities
Types of membership
Full membership
Is open to organisations which pay the 2% ENTRUST levy on some or all of their income.
This costs £350 per year.
Full members
- Have enhanced voting rights
- Can attend all members' meetings including the AGM
- Receive a free place on each ADEB training day
Associated Membership:
Is open to all other Environmental Bodies and costs £100 per
year.
Associate members
- Can attend all members' meetings including the AGM
- Will have access to agendas and minutes of all meetings
- One free place on an ADEB training day each year
Executive Committee
Consists of representatives of 3 full members and 1
associate member
- Executive Committee members are elected by their peers at
the AGM and may sit for a term of two years.
Members comprise:
- Chairman
- Deputy Chairman
- Previous Past Chairman
- A representative of the Associate members
The administrator also sits in on the meetings to take
minutes.
